Today (14 Oct 2020) at 0900hrs, VH-ULD departs from Singapore Seletar Airport for her new home in Australia. VH-ULD is the World's first Airbus A321 Passenger to Freighter (P2F) and was converted locally in Singapore. She is one of the three A321P2F that will be delivered to Qantas Freight.

The airframe is a 22-year-old Airbus A321 (As of 14 Oct 2020). She was previous owned by Onur Air, a Turkish Carrier. The airframe arrived in Singapore Seletar Airport on 6 November 2018 for her conversion.

During her conversion in Singapore, she was wearing another registration, being D-ANJA and was seen wearing the Australia Post and Qantas Freight livery.

Qantas has chosen the A321 for conversion due to the increase in payload the aircraft could carry. Compared to the existing 737 Freighters Qantas have currently, the A321 is able to carry nine more tons of freight, which will allow them to meet the growing demand.
